MANUFACTURING LABOURERS

We are seeking experienced MANUFACTORING ASSEMBLERS for our busy client in Ottawa's south end. This is a full-time position in a friendly team-oriented environment.

Schedule & Wage:

  • Days - 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday

  • Evenings - 3:30pm-2:00am Monday to Thursday (NOTE: Public transit does not operate after midnight, so you must have your own vehicle to work this shift)

  • Starting wage is $18/hour

What the job involves:

  • Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies

  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job

  • Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts

  • Work in a variety of departments (Paint, Masking, NPC, PEM, Packaging, Assembly)

  • Comply with safety rules and regulations during course of duties

  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

  • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects

  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

  • Independently perform basic maintenance on equipment

  • Comply with engine manuals, technical data and work instruction for all machining operations

What the job requires of you:

  • Hands-on experience in cabling, riveting and drivers

  • Punctual, reliable, hard-working and efficient

  • Ability to take direction and work cooperatively within the team environment
