FORMING OPERATOR

We are seeking forming operators with experience for our busy client in Ottawa's south end. This is a full-time position in a friendly team-oriented environment.

Shifts:

  • Days - 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday

  • Evenings - 3:30pm-2:00am Monday to Thursday (NOTE: Public transit does not operate after midnight, so you must have your own vehicle to work this shift)

Key job responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery that is used to bend and manipulate metal

  • Review Samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output

  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job

  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping

  • Working on a variety of departments (Paint, Masking, NPC, PEM, Packaging, Assembly)

  • Comply with safety rules and regulations during course of duties

  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues

  • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects

  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

  • Independently perform basic maintenance on equipment

  • Comply with engine manuals, technical data and work instruction for all machining operation

Must Have:

  • Experience as a forming operator

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience as a machine operator

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Day shift

  • Evening shift

  • Monday to Friday
